GLOW BETTER WITH GOODSELF

Adelaide-founded reusable eye mask brand GoodSelf breaks free from the single-use stereotype set by more traditional eye and sheet masks. It maximises your favourite skincare products while accentuating your true skin.

We’re all privy to exhausting days with excessive screen time, resulting in tired eyes that are in need of a refresh, all whilst refreshing images of over-edited faces on our feeds. GoodSelf is an Adelaide-founded reusable eye mask brand that aims to celebrate everyday people — your skin, without extreme and unrelatable Instagram filters.

Separating themselves apart from the vast array of products on the market, creator Isabella Lasenzaniro set out to produce a reusable silicone eye mask with no ingredients, allowing you to work it into your existing routine and combine it with your favourite eye product for an instant boost. The eye masks, “work to help you get more out of your products as they hold your gels, serums, and creams closer to the skin for maximum absorption.”

Commonly, face and eye masks are discarded after a single use, and whilst your skin might be glowing, the environment isn’t. A reusable eye mask changes this- the cost per wear is significantly lower as there’s no need to continuously repurchase your holy grail, and you’re making a sustainable commitment that isn’t contributing to waste.

GoodSelf eye masks arrive in a cute aluminium tin that you simply pop into your fridge after using (which adds an extra-cooling effect), and Isabella recommends that to upkeep their longevity, “you wash them with a mild soap or warm water after use, pat dry, and then store away in their tin.”

Each eye mask’s charming lilac design is adorned with the brand’s oversized logo typography, giving any selfie you take whilst practising necessary rest and relaxation a fun edge. As you revive your eye area with much-needed extra hydration, you’re also taking a moment to reflect on your own ‘good self’ — and that’s your natural skin, in whatever form it appears. Isabella believes that, “we need to change the narrative around good versus bad skin and before versus after, and hero ‘normal’, everyday skin.”

Traditional beauty norms suggest that flawless skin is the only skin that matters, but GoodSelf is a reminder that your true self is more than good enough, so keep space during your self-care routine to remember that you are already your best self.
